I love trails. Each year, as soon as nature decides to bless us with enough heat to actually enjoy the endeavour, I venture out onto some of my favourite paths and …well I photograph them. As part of the 16YEARS celebration, I will share with you a few of keepsakes from such an outing in wallpaper format.

I found this bird in the middle of the road, just sitting and staring at me as I was about to bike by him. Presumably he fell out of the nest he was born into, seemingly not too long ago, and survived the fall just fine. I shooed him onto a grassy patch on the sidewalk and immortalized him as seen above. Had I any idea about nursing baby birds, I’d have been very tempted to take him home.
