Here is a really good inspirational video I found online today from Photographer Joey Lawrence. He really speaks to into the hearts of photographers. Check out some more of his Youtube Videos.
And for those of you with a sense of humour, check out his song about Canon boy and Nikon girl. (warning: some mild bad language)

Here comes a long overdue blog update! There have been quite a few things happening in the past weeks and I’ll let you know the best of it all right about now.
PhotoMeet! During the past two weeks I successfully organised two PhotoMeet events in Kitchener. Within a PhotoMeet, people who are into photography, modelling and/or walking and talking, come together for some good times! Both meets took place in Downtown Kitchener. Here are some images from it and December will hold some interesting events as well, on top of which there will be a chance to win some neat photographic freebies, so read on!
Photos from November’s PhotoMeets: Mister Tony (obviously upset about the low quality of his Canon camera… haha joking)
Daniel, next to his finding of a pre-historic wall-painting uncovering many details about the everyday life of man back in those days…
Florin at work…
Florin reaping the fruits of his work
This is the lovely Dani >her website< who came all the way from St. Catherines, Ontario to attend our meeting. Thanks for coming Dani!
Once again a successful panorama stitch! 21 photos forming a magnificent replica of one of Downtown Kitchener’s loveliest sights
December Events:
December will be a very interesting month. Not only because Christmas is coming, which is enough reason to go apey about December, but also, there will be a Help Portrait event hapening on 12.12.09 (December the 12th). What is a Help Portrait session you ask? Well help portrait is an initiative of photographers to get together and instead of doing their usual thing and taking portraits, to give portraits to those needy, those who could not otherwise afford professional photography, or just someone whose heart could be made to glow by it!
What does Help Portrait look like???
So in the Christmas spirit, feel free to either join our Kitchener Help Portrait group and join us in photographing if you are photographer yourself, OR if not, you might suggest to us someone who may be a good candidate to have their portrait taken by emailing to stefan@stefanchirila.com
How will it happen? On December the 12th we meet in Victoria Park, we have a good time involving hot chocolate/coffee/tea, photograph our models and then within the coming week have the images printed and handed in to our models at their convenience.
Winter Photo Sessions:
From now and until December 31st, all personal portrait, couple sessions and family portrait bookings will receive a 30% discount, as well as a $20 print credit. To book your session or to receive more information email me at stefan@stefanchirila.com
Website:
Yes, starting with the beginning of December, we will have a little website joining the Stefan Chirila blog. More details on this as time gets closer though.
So I went on a roadtrip to Websters falls, Ontario, again. This is a place with wonderful landscapes, fall colours, waterfalls …and George Webster’s grave. Every time I went there I did so for the gorgeous landscape, but this time it seems the story becomes more about the one less noticed element of Websters Falls… George Webster’s grave…
For reasons that I will keep to myself, I removed the image here.
Now I don’t mean to act like a superstitious scardycat, but it seems that every time I go there and read the inscription on the grave out loud to my friends, something weird and dislikable hapens shortly after.
In 2008 in November when I went there with Alyssa, quite a frightening fog came down and …although it made a perfect scenario for photographs, we ended up with the car broken into.
Now that I went there with my friends Daniel, David and Megan, I did the same thing, I read the inscription out loud with poetic expression and …well I’d love to say nothing happened. But later that evening while having dinner together, I managed to spill a whole cup of red wine over myself and Daniel… but the more curious thing is that within the last few days Megan’s place got broken into …of course through a window and stuff got stolen.
Coincidence? well that is what I’d like to know from YOU

Hello everyone and Happy Thanksgiving! Then again, if you don’t celebrate this lovely holiday, then happy long weekend to you!
It’s been about two weeks but it seems that I am back on my feet, making this the first thing that comes to my mind while brainstorming what to be thankful for recently. Now after coming to that genius conclusion, I continued the thinking process and figured out that I also have a wonderful family around me, a promising business, a lovely new computer that I received during the last month as a gift and some remarkable friends that I would not want to trade for anything in the world!
Alyssa – If anyone had a huge impact on photography in my life then Alyssa. She is the most talented photographer/model/business lady combo that I have ever met! Check out her web site here.
Juan David Gomez! I met you, then I haven’t seen you in about three years, and then we met up again and you offered me some amazing pictures to work with in my portfolio. You are a great model, great friend and a very talented musician! Check out Juan’s myspace.
Alex and Justine. I’ve known you since highschool and I’m sure you know more dirt on me that anyone should haha! Thanks for being awesome friends! Alex, empty your voicemail…
Now that I think about it, more and more people come to mind! Try it, think about the blessings in your life and it’ll make your day brighter!
Thank you Lord for all the blessings in my life! You rule! “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. ” Psalm 100:4
Yesterday I had a blast hanging out with Juan David and with Gary photographing and enjoying the beauty of autumn at Rockwood Conservation Area a little past Guelph on HWY 7. Also got to hear the song above “Give me your eyes” by Brandon Heath. Amazing song and a great inspirational time! Enjoy the images!

More photos to come!
