I was shooting a family portraits session today for my friend Gary, when all of a sudden he randomly takes me around to the side of his house to show me what he found this morning. A bunny nest with about five little bunny babies sitting in it. It was so adorable I couldn’t help but take a few photos of them!

So here they are, the bunny photos, first ones I edited today!

As I have promised you earlier, in my previous post about this concert, here are more images. I had a hard time picking just a few of the amazing performances that took place that night. Kitchener really have a remarkable blues scene and I am so glad to have discovered it finally!

Usually, I wouldn’t go on ranting about my casual hanging out with friends, but these past few times, I ended up with some lovely portraits that are worth sharing. First is my photographer friend Corrie, whom I am quite jealous of. Why can’t I be one of those photographers who are equally awesome before the lens as behind it.

First, let me take you back to around the 22nd of February 2010. Yes, when we received all the snow of this winter and spring in one giant gulp! That was when I met up with my friend Mario and with that occasion took some portrait shots of his sister and they turned out great. If I learned anything this winter, then it is to not dislike snow. I have done quite a few shoots this season with snow, with snow + cold and even with only a lot of cold. But I’ll stop now because I am ranting. Here is the pretty Valentina in her stylish winter coat:

A day after that, I spend some time with my other photographer friend Sarah Lisk and her two boys and three dogs. Here is Monarch Woods (Kitchener) covered in snow:

A little more recently I spent some time walking and street-shooting with my (analog)-photographer friend, Marko. Marko loves film and film loves Marko. Too bad I am so addicted to the instant gratification of digital, otherwise I would strongly consider buying one of them awesomely stylish Leica cameras like he has. And for those of you who are about to comment on this article and tell me that there ARE such small and lovely Leicas in digital, let me tell you I KNOW. I also know that their price is exceeding my budget by quite the amount. Nice try though.

This is just a quick preview. A more in depth entry will follow.

So I shot a gig the other day at the Edelweiss Tavern here in Kitchener, where Heartwood organized a fund raiser Blues music night. My first encounter with the blues bands around Kitchener had been last summer at the Kitchener Blues Fest when I also met photographer Stefan Miles who got me this gig. Here goes a BIG THANK YOU to him and …here’s some photos. Will post more once I hand in the results. Smiles and enjoy!
