So this just happened over the holidays; I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely couple who got themselves engaged right under my lens on Christmas day. Few gifts measure up to one such as this.

And Christmas time is here again; and out into the cold we went again, to photograph strangers and hand them a portrait for free. Out of the many people we approached, some said yes, and these are their beautiful faces.
If you are one of these people, then THANK YOU for allowing us to give back to the local, and as some of you were from out of town, even out of the country, the not-lo-local community as well. Feel free to drop me an email (stefan.chirila@gmail.com), or contact me through the form on the About page.
Checked out the Toronto Christmas Market this year, located within the Distillery District. I am not a fan of the cold, or the wind …but I am now a fan of the truffle-poutine they serve there, as well as the turkey legs, and pretzels…
I’ve been asked to speak on the topic of colour at a friend’s photography group meeting. I got really excited when I found out that colour was the topic, since I hadn’t taught on that topic before, and I find a new direction to do some research on, a welcomed change. It turns out that putting together a logical progression of how to look at colour and its place in photography was the easy part, while figuring out how to put together a presentation cover page was the more time consuming one. Thankfully it all worked out in the end, and I get to look forward to meeting some new photographer friends next week.
