If you read my previous post, you know I have been nominated for the Visual Arts section of the Waterloo Region Arts Awards. In order to provide them with materials that backs up my involvement in the Waterloo Region community I proceeded to ask you, my friends, fellow photographers, clients and blog readers, to be a witness to my existence here and what I spent my time doing for the past years.

The results and feedback I received left me more than speechless… Your generosity in kind words almost left me curious to read to the end and find out who these words are about; because it sounded too good to be me. I am most humbled that I was blessed to be of help to some of you and that we are one step closer to the dream of a united artists’ community in our region.

Some of the kind words that stayed with me:

“Along with great energy and excitement for the arts, Stefan brings light to seemingly complex aspects of photography to his students… his friends.” […] “Everyone is welcome and everyone is a great artist in Stefan’s circle. His passion for photography is contagious, even more so when it comes with constant praise and encouragement to those around him.” […] “Personally, Stefan has given me many tools to be the photographer that I am. I still have a lot of work to do and lessons to learn and Stefan remains a willing phone call or text message away.”

“every good story begins with a tree… and I must admit, at times I was not a stranger to the notion that this one might be the first exception to the rule”

“It is in these photographs, where having been in the right place at the right time made all the difference, that one notices: photography is more collaboration with the divine than mechanical application of learned technique”

Last night I photographed the Waterloo Regional Worship at Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly. I couldn’t wait so here is a preview. Full post coming soon!

I don’t get to dive into graphic design work very often, but when I do, I generally enjoy it. Here’s my latest endeavour: a logo request for a church’s musical worship team. It’s quite minimalistic in nature and straight to the point, as usual, when it comes to my graphic design projects. Enjoy!
